WELL-KNOWN MAN VICTIM OF SHOCK
Fatal Illness Ascribed In Part To Accident in Which Horses
Were Killed.

Mann of 709
Hubbard avenue,
aged 49 years, a well-known resident, died in his home at 6:25 o'clock
this
morning, a victim of kidney and heart trouble complicated with asthma. Mr. Mann, who had been in poor health several
years, was practically bedfast the last eight weeks.
It is believed his decline was hastened by
nervous shock and minor internal injuries he received in September
1917, when
his team was struck by a New York Central train at the Indiana avenue
crossing, the horses being
killed.
Mr. Mann,
who was a son of Christian and Magdalena Mann, was born in Baugo
township on
August 28, 1870. His marriage to Miss
Saloma Eckhart took place on February 5, 1889.
Mr. Mann had lived in the city for 21 years, his last occupation
being
that of a meat cutter. He was a member
of Prairie street
Mennonite church.
Surviving
Mr. Mann are his wife; six children, Cleo, Earl, William, Lela, Helen
and Mary
Mann, all at home; Four brothers, Daniel Mann of Gibson, Ind., Levi
Mann of
near this city and Rufus and George Mann of this city, and four
sisters, Mrs.
S. F. Coffman of Vineland, Ontario, Mrs. D. F. Miller of Westport, S.
D., Mrs.
B. B. King of Ft. Wayne and Mrs. A. E. Stauffer of this city.
The funeral
arrangements have not been made.
On his
deathbed, Mr. Mann requested that no flowers be sent to the funeral.

FUNERAL OF T. E. MANN
The funeral
services of Tobias E. Mann, who died at his home, 709 Hubbard avenue,
yesterday morning,
will be held at Prairie Street Mennonite church at 1:00 tomorrow. The burial will take place at the Prairie street
cemetery.
